  1.  Top
  2. Sheesh next thing we people will get arrested for impersoniting members of the armed forces for going commando
  3. Some cops just have too much bloody time on their hands
  4. Like what was the cop thinking when s/he issued the taxi driver the fine? Is this payback against society for all times they got yogurt flicked on them during the lunch break when they were at school?
  5. Taxi drivers should do what they do best: get all pissed off and vindictive.

    Refuse service to police.

It's about time the actions of Highway Patrol changing attitudes to community policing came home to roost.
  6. I think it is about time the cabbies were made to pull their socks up. They are the bane of my 2 wheeled existance.
  7. Figuratively, yes.

    Literally, no.
  8. Reading between the lines:
He was probably pulled over for not wearing a seatbelt. Decided to tell the cop that he knew the law better so the cop called his bluff and introduced him to another law he was breaching.

Funny how the fine related to his safety is put to the side. How did the cop see the socks down while driving?

Then reading further, their rules state that they must have dress shoes:

The socks were only part of it as he was also wearing running shoes.

Tea in a storm cup and sensationalist journalism. Sounds like the cabbie got a fine for no seatbelt and tried to have a go at the cop, got out of his car and the cop saw no dress shoes.
  9. pun intended.....
  10. He should be thanking the copper for noticing his socks were down, probably saved him getting an electric shock from the loose wires hanging under the dash
