How to get your licence in the UK, interesting system

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by pro-pilot, Jan 11, 2008.

  1. Whats wrong with that, thats how I passed my test in the UK about 17 years ago.

The CBT is good enough to give you all the requirements to ride on the road.

They missed the bit about you can only have a bike under 33hp until you pass your full test
  2. Pretty thorough system :)

Interesting part that we are never made to practice - and judging by my lack of skill doing this the other day I think I need some practice!
  3. TEAR them up. No really.

I think a provisional system should be there somewhere
  4. Vic Roads had an "on road test" but was dropped early 90's, my personal opinion is that testing should never have been privatized, roadcraft by L platers now is awful eg riding in the kerb, no offence BUT scooter riders on L's are dangerous to themselves, shows lack of training
