How good is your fuel range?

  3. Anybody care to plot and triangulate those distances, and work out exactly where that sign is?

  5. its more in QLD !
    The distance to Cairns and Brissy is almost the same and its further from the Gold Coast. Its a bit strange, because its 100km difference between Melb and Syd. I'm definitely going to plot it out now, its intriguing me ! :?

  6. keep in mind that those would be road distances, not line of sight.

    Getting over a mountain range would add a large number of km.

    Mind you, sydney to mel is 1000km on the hume - would have thought that at worst case, another 500km north wouldn't put you into qld.

  7. Get a compass and strike an arc at the posted distance from each city. Where the arcs intersect is the spot!

  8. except that the roads aren't straight - he's sitting at an intersection, and adelaide and darwin aren't even remotely in the same direction.

    Arcs will get you in the ballpark though, but your challange was EXACTLY that spot!

  11. Its not as high or far as Camoweel but its that direction. Its between Camoweel and Winton.
