How could they tell the difference?

  1. I just can't resist asking...
Just how could they tell the difference? :p

Online scam: 'antique Harley' was rusty parts

A Victorian man who falsely sold antique motorcycles online to overseas buyers and then sent one a crate of rusty metal has walked free from court after receiving a suspended sentence...

  2. Er, the pile of rusty metal wasn't leaking oil.
  3. There was nowhere to attach the Irrigation hoses?
  4. But what were the parts for? And was it anything interesting in itself?

Actually, I'm reminded of that classic classified ad phrase "Lots of spares" which actually translates as "grotty cardboard box full of all the completely fcuked parts that have been taken off the bloody thing over the years, including three burnt out spark plugs, a squashed paper air filter, half a carby from a Honda C50 and several unidentifiable bits of pot metal that might be part of a washing machine".

Not that I've ever had a bad experience when buying "classics" of course  .
  5. $130,000 in false sales?

He should actually be in gaol, rather than having a suspended sentence.

    Deceptive, arrogant and premeditated.

If the money has been used to build his house, I really hope that they sell it off to give the cash back to the victims.
