Honda Today - Service manual or tips on doing self-service

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by alig, Apr 5, 2006.

  1. Hey guys,

I just purchased a honda today scooter.
I'm used to doing all the minor servicing things on my car myself (oil, brakes etc...) and I'd like to do the same on the scooter

When I bought the bike it didn't come with a service manual
Is it hard to service a honda today myself? (ie. just changing the oil and oil filter). not sure what else there is, such as spark plugs...

    Thanks in advance
  2. alig.
I'd be inclined to go back to your Honda dealer and have them get you a workshop manual.
    It'll only be around 50 odd $.
    Daz.
  3. If you've done car maintenence, you'll find bikes a lot easier.

    Regards, Andrew.
  4. Is it obvious to figure out? ie. should i unscrew the panels and have a peak
  5. Unscrew and peek away ! It's your bike, and the more you know about it, the better you will be.

    Regards, Andrew.
