Honda Spada seat removal help

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' started by JCL, Oct 27, 2007.

  1. Hi guys,

Sorry if this is a real n00b question but I have only had my Spada for a couple of months and am wanting to now play around with it and doing a service myself etc.

I downloaded the (poor quality) manual and have found how to take the seat off but for the life of me cant remove it.

Can someone just give me an idiots guide to removing the seat on the 1991 Honda VT250L Spada
  2. Some of those era hondas have a really wierd thing where
you have to insert the key in the helmet lock, open the helmet
lock, then there is a small latch nearby on one or both sides to release
the seat (latch won't unlatch unless you have the helmet lock open).
  3. What he says is true. Unlock helmet lock. Behind the lock there is a latch, pull that down. While it is pulled down, pull the seat up and it *should* pop off. Took me a bit to figure it out too.

If you're wanting to put stuff in there, don't bother :p There is just enough room for my disc lock.
