Honda Hornet 250 Exhaust

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by PeteClarky, Feb 23, 2013.

  1. I currently have a twin exhaust setup on my Honda CB250F (Hornet 250) but it is just too quiet. So I have ordered two Honda Hornet 600 Pipe Werx cans and link pipes. Nobody makes Hornet 250 exhaust systems as the bikes are only sold in Japan. The link pipe is about 3mm wider than the 250 one so I am just planning on using Silicon Sealant to seal the gap and keep the exhaust system efficient.

If this is the best way to go about it then let me know or if there is a better way to install it feel free to let me know!
  2. I'm not sure how long the sealant will last but a tidier fix might be to have someone make you a pair of 1mm-thickness sleeves in either copper or stainless steel to slip snugly over the smaller diameter pipe and allow the larger one to be clamped tight around it.
