Historical First. Electric vs. Gas Superbike Race

  1. Crazy speed down the straights!

  2. only using 260 Nm torque?

His comments on the weight and handling were interesting. The lack of exhaust note is disappointing though.
  3. Listen from 2.08 onwards, sounds like a supercharger whine.

  4. unfortunately supercharger whine != exhaust note.

another thought: at 250kg race trim, it's going to chew through tyres.
  5. That thing is awesome.

If they downsize the electric motor a little, they obviously don't need allll that power, and that'd ditch some of that excess weight too.

And of course as the tech improves, the motor and battery will get lighter and more powerful.
  6. even with all that torque the gas bikes seemed to pull away easily? guess it can't make the power like the gas bikes can.
  7. 190 HP. It pulls away allright,
