Hi everyone

Discussion in 'Welcome Lounge' started by morgan435, Sep 1, 2011.

  1. Just got my learner license (with Armstrong's ride schools, 31/08/2011, in case I met one of you there) and I can't wait to improve my skills.

I bought a Suzuki Intruder 250 last week as a first bike and hope I will be able to improve with it. For now I am planning to buy the rest of the gears and practice around my block or the Coles (Showground Village in Ascot Vale) carpark until I feel confident with the traffic.

  2. Hi Morgan, Welcome in, when you feel a bit more confident get down to the Saturday Morning sessions and say Gday.
  3. Hello Morgan, welcome to NR.
  4. +1. Saturday Sessions are really good for learner skills & confidence.
  5. Welcome and +1 Saturday Sessions.....

Let any of us know if you need a guide in.....I am close-ish to the Melbourne Show Grounds so I could oblige if you're interested....(y)
  6. Welcome to NR Morgan, am just a suburb up, when I used to want to practise in quiet spots I headed up Keilor Park drive and rode around those backstreets behind AMX on a sunday arvo, no traffic and putt putt till your hearts content. Pop down on sat morning at Elwood, BP servo just next to St Kilda marina, can meet you on the way in if you like. Starts at 10am, normally pop in for a coffee with some of the others so get to St Kilda by 9am, but if you want an escort in, I'll pass the coffee and we can take off about 9:30, take it easy and cruise it on citylink or take the streets vis footscary rd etc.
