VIC Help with ADR's : Headlight

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by oohsam, Jan 16, 2012.

  1. Hi guys,
I've got my RWC tomorrow for the bike i've been building for the last year, but I'm a little confused with this particular ADR.
I have a headlight fitted with a switch, the switch has off, low beam, highbeam.
There is nothing on my dash to indicate that the high beam is on.
Is the "indication that high beam is on" enough that its on the switch? or does it need a visual on dash indicator?
If the switch is not enough, I will just disconnect the highbeam and have lowbeam only.

  2. imho a switch ≠ an indicator

a switch turns on an indicator
  3. True, but looking at the switch has the same affect as looking at your dash.

"oh the light is on highbeam"...

Posted up in streetfigthers, thanks twistngo.
They should know, they modify headlights all day every day
  4. dunno about you but i can't see my hi/lo switch in the dark to know which position it's in
  5. Good point....
Think i better put one on..
