Help - nice place for lunch??

Discussion in 'The Pub' started by titus, Sep 21, 2007.

  1. OK, anyone know a nice place that I can take my mum for her 80th birthday, for lunch?
I don't get out much any more so I wouldn't have a clue what's out there.
It's only going to be five of us, including littl'uns. Needs to be moderately child friendly, needs to have maybe a nice view or something, and has to be not too far from the middle of town (10-15k). Not top end prices but not cheap as chips, either.
    Any ideas? Ta.

  2. can't suggest anywhere specific given i avoid all the child-friendly places, but perhaps southbank or albert park?
  3. Yum Cha at Red Emporer?
what type of food were you thinking?
  4. Yeah, maybe. I'll give them a call.
Don't care what sort of nosh really. Kids and old folk are not too adventurous, though. Doesn't need to be super child friendly, but we'd prefer not to upset some sniffy foodie when mini-me flicks a fork across three tables or something :)lol:)
Thanks guys, I'll have a sniff around
