Help needed spada, possible carby problem

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by WillywareCPS, Jul 1, 2006.

  1. Just a quick question,

if i stupidly messed with the carby sync screw could this cause some power loss in the bike?

And is there an easy way to re sync the carby?

    many thanks

  2. Yes it can cause a power reduction, but probably not anything major. The easiest way to tell how far out they are without guages is if it has an unsteady idle (when warm).

Guages are the most accurate way of balancing them, but in the case of only two carbs, most decent bike mechanics should be able to do it by ear.

  3. Hey thanks, one lession learnt the hard way, miss took the balance screw for the idle screw,,

When warm it idles faily steady but when you listen closely to it and look at the needle of the revs you can notice a slight unsteadyness.

Time to book her in i think.
