Help: How do I remove rose joints

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' started by Enigma, Jun 19, 2012.

  1. Hi Guys,

I need to remove the rose joint from my Gear shift rod but unsure how to do it.

Anyone know the best way to get this done?

    Thanks in advance

  2. The gearshift rod is usually threaded both ends. One end left hand thread, the other right hand so that the length can be adjusted "in situ".

  3. Do the rose joints have a nut behind the tapered section that fits into the gear lever of shift shaft lever? Or is the end of the rose joint peened over?
