heads up - North Sydney - Corner of Pacific Hwy and Walker street

Discussion in 'Hazardous Road Condition Reports' started by klau, May 18, 2011.

  1. Just to let others know, the southbound part of the pacific hwy has been resurfaced and this includes the turn off into walker street.
Problem is there's rocks and the road is still sticky.

Long story short, I've now got fuken tar and rocks in my tyres. The rocks basically came out, but the tar is still on there. This is on a new bike with tyres that hasn't even done 1000kms.

I took it so slow as to be walking as I noticed the surface in advance, but I didn't expect the tar... needless to say I am not impress as there's no road signs saying avoid, etc.

There's another bike with the same on their tyres, so will I leave a note for them to take it easy.

    Here's the corner.

  2. Contact them immediately and have them replace your tyres. They have to, by LAW, state the surface condition, roadworks etc when it's not good.
  3. Just go for a blast into the hunter valley, redistribute the tar where it's needed most!
