Have to wait 3 weeks for part from Japan?

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by sonicbaz, Apr 12, 2006.

  1. Hi, I ran out of coolant the other day, so booked my bike in and it now apparently it needs a new water system but it will take 3 weeks to get here from Japan. :(

Is this usual with a kawasaki or is it because mine is a 1996 model etc? At least it is under warranty, but I am without transportation for work.

I'm going to see if the dealer can lend me something old and crappy for a couple of weeks. :(

  2. three weeks is quick :)
  3. Yah, often stuff takes 6 to 8 weeks to come from Japan.

It can take 6 to 8 months from Europe!
  4. a 1996 model still under warranty  ???

I had to wait 4 weeks for one part for my recent insurance repair.....
