Handlebar, Grip & Mirrors Modification plan: V-Star 650 Custom

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' at netrider.net.au started by Lazy Libran, May 17, 2011.

  1. Hello People...

'Thinking' of a few changes on my V-Star 650 Custom. More for functionaity than mere looks. :)

Narrowed my list down to the following items -

    1 - Baron Starbar Handlebar
2 - Kuryakyn Wide Style Levers
3 - (Optional) Arlen Ness Stealth 2 Mirrors

The OEM handlebar is good but not excellent. Its weakness shows up on longer riders. I've gone for a 150 KM+ ride and the strain starts to show up after an hour or so.

The Kuryakyn levers are are similar to the Harley stock ones. Very comfortable to use.

The Arlen Ness Mirror stems have 6 inch length so hopefully better rear views than the ok'ish OEM ones.

Also thought about grips but they are just grips and no point in spending another $50-$100 on them. The OEM ones are perfect for me.

    Any suggestions/pointers?
