Handicaps to riding

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by hornet, Apr 2, 2006.

  1. In one of my many previous lives I was a professional chef.

Hazards of a chef's life? Burns, muscle tears, and most of all, cuts.

I've got a dozen of them, but the worst is my left thumb, which had to have micro-surgery to repair a major knife wound.

I have at best 40% feel in the pad of the left thumb; imagine what it's like trying to feel the indicator button without looking down at it. GRRRR.

I guess that's small beer for some Netriders. How many others are riding with these sorts of annoyances??
  2. I have a touch of Dupuytren's contracture in my clutch hand, which makes my hand sore if I sitck around in traffic too long. It's a tendon thing.

Easily enough solved... Don't hang around....
  3. a man with a plan!

i'm partially blind does that count? i'm really tall and my hips cramp up on my smallish bike?
  4. I have a disorder whereby my right wrist twitches down, and my clutch hand spasms; as you can imagine the results are amusing.

    :)
