gsxr 600 Mod Chip

  1. greetings,

    ebay are selling a mod chip for gixxers, claiming to increase power 15 horse, is it crap? its selling for only $20.
    Anyone know about them, or had one?

  2. They are often just a resistor that acts on the coolant temp sensor so as to increase fuel supply. When a fuel infected bike is started (one with coolant temp sensor) the ecu is told to richen the mix of air/fuel to allow it to idle cold as there is no choke so to speak, that is all these bullshit mods do, make the bike run rich all the time.
    I doubt it would produce anything but a bigger fuel bill, and some black smoke.

  3. The +15 hp is part of the branding.
    They claim up to 15 hp, more likely it just makes a hairline difference.

    There is a reason why power commanders cost $300+
