GSX1400 Windscreen Options

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' at netrider.net.au started by Mogy, Oct 26, 2011.

  1. Hi all, I'd like to ask the GSX1400 owners what type of screens they have fitted to the bike. I love my ride, but the buffeting is tiring on long rides, so I'd like to see what options I have available. thanks G...

  2. Good question.

I gather there'sa GSX forum somewhere perhaps someone in the know might be able to provide a link.
A specialist forum with lots of owners is always the best place to ask these type of questions, in my experience.

Let us know what you come up with !
  3.  Top
  4. But the question is... do they actually work ?

Some screens seem to just direct more air at your helmet which is exactly where you don't want it.
  5. You could always just ask some one that makes screens. A good manufacture should know what works and what doesn't. Try Peter at screens for bikes. He is a nice guy and might have some ideas for you.
    Good hunting.http://www.screensforbikes.com/
  6. Yes but a manufacturer is unlikely to tell you if they don't work.
  7. MRA screens are the best http://www.mrashop.de/erp/catalog/navigation/catalogNavigation.action

but inquiry as to "do they work?

work for what? diferent screens for diferent purposes.

assuming touring, go the vario touring version. i had one on my old bike. keeps the airflow of your torso entirely but can direct some toward helmet for venting.
they really do have a dramatic effect on the way the bike rides. might like it, might not.
and you have to fit the things at the right angle, generally following the angle of your forks is best.
  8. puig also make quality screens, not sure about gsx1400 though
  9. thanks for the replies everyone
