GSX 750F 1992 speedo trip knob screw

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by DC211, Sep 23, 2012.

  1. I am removing the speedo from the instrument cluster because one of the little screws holding the speed face has vibrated loose and prevents the speedo needle moving. All is good until I try to remove the trip knob. The manual suggests a little phillips head screw, as does a schematics drawing, but I can't seem to "feel" anything when I put in a screwdriver.

A skinnier screwdriver goes a long way in past the knob, so I am assuming there is no screw there. Does the knob just slide off if I pull it with a little force? (sorry, having a laugh to myself at the question ...)

    Thanks in advance

  2. update - have slid the speedo out from the cluster (from underneath) Now need to work out how to take off the glass face ... Any ideas?

    Thanks jd, did the trick.

    I appreciate your help.

  5. No worries. Always happy to help keep an oil-cooled Suzuki on the road. :)
