So Womble and I took to the Bell's Line of Road today. Wow wow wow! We had the best time...was a little slow getting through Richmond but once the climb up started, it was on! God it was great...beautiful Autumn scenery...felt like I should be cracking an easel and the water colours out to capture the vista. But sheesh, I run pretty hot and had been fairly glib about riding in the cold but it were a bit nippy like Winter gloves barely did the trick and Womble very kindly placed them on his heated (pah!) grips whilst we were refuelling...ah...orgasmic to put back on. But the corners the corners the corners...wooohoooooooo it was the best fun I have ever had on a bike yet. Beats my tour out west even! First time I actually accelerated down hills and through down hill corners yay yay yay did I say yay yet? Everything felt sooooooooooooo good today. Perfect na but I didn't care, just took a mental note to self rather than a mental cat'o'nine tails for a change. Went into a few corners a bit hot but no biggie. It was so much fun. Was lovely as always watching an experienced rider in front as well but also for the very first time I rode my own ride and didn't try to sniff Womble's exhaust the whole time like a scared child hanging on to a coat tail in a crowd. We weren't too tardy on the speedo either but it was just a friggin great ride. I smiled most of the time and even laughed with joy on a those zig zaggie twistys. Yeee har. I felt like a real bike rider today for the very very very first time since I got my bike in Aug 2014. I didn't feel like an imposter or that I was kidding myself about being able to ride. It all felt good no issues at all. Not one. Thanks everyone on NR as well for encouraging me to get back out there. To other noobies, push through that sense of failure if you experience it. Don't let that feeling define your riding or give up. I almost did and look what I would have missed out on today! Thank you again Mr Womble for pulling me back from the abyss and for supporting and encouraging my riding. Guess what I am doing tomorrow? Another bucket list ride up the Putty....yipeeeeeeeee Got my groove back. No real pictures either as far too busy riding. Ha!
