Green slips, I just don't get it!

Discussion in 'Businesses and Service Providers' at netrider.net.au started by typhoon, May 19, 2006.

  1. How can QBE charge $416 for a green slip for my GTR 1000, and everyone else wants $550-590?
It is COMPULSORY insurance, and teh government has set guidelines as to what the insurance covers, what gets paid out etc.
Surely then, they should all be the same price within a few dollars?
And again, it just proves that being loyal to one insurance company is pure folly, you don't get discounts that make up for their gouging year in year out! Oh I forgot, NRMA offers you a few dollars if you get injured, big woop I am covered anyway!
So once again, QBE gets my business whilst the other big companies, who spend mucho dinero on advertising, get zippo.

    Regards, Andrew.

  2. Green slips are a ripoff.I used to live in NSW, and my car rego cost me like $800 in total, greenslip alone was about $430.Down in Vic you only gotta pay one bill sent out by Vicroads, our version of the RTA.You dont need a pink slip every year either, which isnt necessarily good, because you see some pretty dodgy cars getting around.Insurance companies suck!
