So my previous bike, a 1985 GPZ600, hasn't sold after a few months and I don't need the cash or the ride at present. I like a bit of a tinker so am thinking maybe strip it back. Its all original but in need of some TLC. Engine is strong and only has 15000 on it since top end rebuild. what it needs: 1. front forks leak and need a full refurb or replacement ( if anyone knows of other brands/models that fit I'd appreciate it). 2. fairing has some stress cracks that I have fibreglassed up but need filling, sanding and painting. 3. Rear brakes need bleeding and I wouldn't bind some twin piston jobs of some sort 4. tyres and a general tidy up. Some possibilities I have thought of 1: repaint it as original 2: Modify front end for more comfort and better braking 3: go for a stripped down streetfighter look 4 Just get a comfort kit for the handlebars for a more upright position. 5: combination of the above Currently looks like this any other ideas?
