GPX250 goes off-road

Discussion in 'Multimedia' started by Sooty, Jul 12, 2009.

  1. Today I took the bike for a fair hike along a rather rough dirt road (for a small sports tourer anyway). Picture of me (left) getting ready for a creek crossing.

I was accompanied by a Todd (BMW 1100GS) and Ben (Suzuki DL650 V-Strom).

  2. lol @ cheesy grin. Love it. Hope you had fun mate. I bet the temp was perfect for a ride. Being in Canberra seeing the Google map link made me jealous.

No spills I take it? Everything went smoothly? Learn anything cool?
  3. Managed to stay upright. I learned a lot about the suspension (there isn't much), standing on pegs, how much traction (there's lots!). Todd teaches adventure riding so I wasn't that worried about doing it.

I recommend a bit of dirt as part of getting to know any bike.

    Next time I'll take the DR650 :p
