gps's and geocaching

  1. Geocaching is a sort of treasure hunt using a gps

Someone posts gps co-ordinates of a hidden cache, you find it, sign the log, you can exchange items that are in the cache, or just look at it.

They also have Travel bugs, which can be any item, but it has dog tag with a tracking number, and these go around the world via people visiting the cache's, and are tracked online.

There are 1895 cache's hidden in victoria alone

I did a search and there are 60 of these things within ten km of my house!
  2. This is a reason why I want a GPS.

I signed up to the GC forum last year but never got around to purchasing a GPS.

I'd love to get into GC.
  3. Its very addictive and a great excuse to go for a ride. I've been geocaching for a while, its great cheap fun.

There are diffrerent sorts of cache's, some are singles but others are multiple with one providing a clue to the location for the second. Ity would be great to set a few of these along fun bike roads.
