N/A | National Gov pledges to bring bike regs in line with EU & Japan

Discussion in 'Politics, Laws, Government & Insurance' started by cjvfr, Nov 1, 2014.

  1. “Consumers in Australia will finally have access to motorcycles as originally designed by the manufacturers, bringing Australia into line with other major markets including the European Union and Japan,” said Assistant Infrastructure Minister Jamie Briggs.

  2. That's good if it saves some money and allows the bike to look like it was supposed to, but are there any other aspects to this that relate to bikes I wonder?
  3. With the EU's antics regarding other industries, some far more innocuous than motor vehicles I fear very much what might happen next.
  4. If they (EU) happen to adopt the French 100hp limit... Not so good?
  5. Hasn't happened yet and won't happen while there are at least five major bike manufacturers with bikes getting on to 200hp in Europe.
  6. Only four- triumph don't have a 200hp bike.
