Google Maps - Creating your own maps.

Discussion in 'The Pub' started by VCM, Sep 28, 2008.

  1. I need some some help guys.
I'm trying to create some riding maps in google maps, but for the life of me I just can't seem to save them. I use 'get directions' to create the route but see no options that allow me to save it as a map.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

  2. Me too. For the life of me I can't work out what 'My Maps' actually does.
  3. I usually print+screen the final map and then save it as a picture!
  4. I can never get 'My Maps' to work, but I usually just click the 'link' button up the top right corner, copy and paste it into a new browser tab and bookmark it.
  5. all you need to do is log in, then click onto "mymaps",then you can create a map, insert pics, points etc etc and it saves automatically, then whenever you log on and select mymaps all those previous maps come up and you can create new ones or modify existing ones.
works for me every time
    here's a sample
