good mechanics in the city area?

Discussion in 'Businesses and Service Providers' at netrider.net.au started by sebatron, Feb 1, 2006.

  1. the GPX i'm riding seems to have developed a minor coolant leak - i can't be shagged fixing it myself.
it needs a tune too.. so my question is this:
and it's one that's probably been covered in the past:

who's good, yet affordable, in the city area?
and how much should i expect to pay for a normal "service"?

  2. Try Race replica in brooklyn just got my zx9 back from a dyno tune  tried pm to local mechanic and no responce so off to brooklyn it was. They also offer a discount to ksrc members so check out www.ksrc.com.au
  3. I have read on several forums that Brighton Kawasaki have a good rep.

Also consider Gassit Motorcycles in Fairfield.. Morris does good work probably not the cheapest but you get what you pay for these days..

  4. Promoto
76 Hoddle Street Abbotsford (entrance is at the back in Henry Street, Map)
    03 9419 9960
10% discount if you are a MRA member
  5. They will also give you a discount if your a MRA member.
  6. Does "Race Replica" and "Promoto" have websites?
  7. I can't find one for Promoto
  8. As far as I know Promoto doesn't have a website.
  9. Talk to Charlie at Turn One Motorcycles in Stubbs St. Kensington.

He's ex race mechanic for Honda, specialises in Trumpies but is good for other makes as well.

He'll treat your bike as if it was his own.
  10. Thank goodness he's not a Netrider, then
  11. That's where I get my bike serviced. If you book it in ask for Phillip to service it.
  12. Brighton Kawasaki are fantastic, very thorough and well priced. My father has been going there for his bike for years.
