Has nothing to do with the fuel and everything to do with exhaust gas temp.
Leave your car/bike on high revs (preferably under load on a dyno) with no airflow over the pipes for long enough and thats what you get.
All of my cars have done that on the dyno at some stage. Years back a mate had a turbo RX3 that we used to go out and chase porsches with on the richmond boulevarde of a saturday night. A couple of full power runs and the exhaust glowed from the turbo all the way bach to the rear muffler. As if it wasnt bad enough most Posches got beat, he even put on a better light show. course we were only young then!
