That's one way to do it!
Maybe he doesn't have a side stand?
Even if I took my seat off I still couldn't do that
I would love to see the vid of him switching over to a right hand turn.
Saw this on my Facebook and it still doesn't look right.
I don't know who that guy is on the photo. But he's obviously has some work to do. All crossed up and rotated. Good way to get the knee down but a bad one to ride through the corners.
He's hanging off nearly with the whole ass off of the seat. That makes him severely rotated to the point he had to ride crossed up. Just one quick pick from a short glance.
That's a bit pathetic to drag the knee at what appears to be 20° of lean angle.
The guy behind has got way much better form, goes much faster, carries higher lean and not even dragging yet.
The guy in front seriously needs to fix some of the bad habits. Very bad ones (unless the sole purpose for him is to just drag the knee).
I hope he is just taking the piss out of someone.
Yeah, indeed. I'm just taking it too seriously
But still, what I said could be (just in theory) useful for someone
Try the head instead
In all seriousness, I've seen similar "knee dragging" during n the ride days at PI.
he must have the peg under the front of his ankle? Surely taking the piss. Sounds like a fun contest - 'who can get the knee down at the lowest speed'
Far from a perfect body position but these are some of my fav pics....
My old Gixxer at EC
And then a few of the RSV4 Factory at PI - most of which show you don't need to go knee down to be going fast... that being said knee down will come naturally when you are going quick, if anything it's a matter of tucking your leg up (esp with big/tall ripple strips) rather than the sidestand method shown by the pic posted by OP...
At least he's flexible... That looks really uncomfortable though!
I want to see him drag his elbow!
I would think dragging your head overshadows any elbow work!
I think he means the outside elbow.
Pretty sure Stefan could have dragged a helmet if he wanted to as well
