Getting FZR400 parts

Discussion in 'Technical and Troubleshooting Torque' at netrider.net.au started by buzzawak, Dec 8, 2009.

  1. Hi, I have a Yamaha FZR400 which is a grey import so parts are hard to get here. Currently the US exchange rate is good.

So I am looking for recommendations for a US Yamaha parts retailer that don't charge too much for freight to Australia.

  2. Hi there,

I have an FZR400 as well since October last year. What year is your FZR400 and which letter/digit combination starts your VIN number with?

I have done quite a bit of research and you will find the US dealers generally only have stock for the FZR made between '86 and '89. Mine is 1990 3TJ and most of the parts I have bought have come from the UK.

There is a lot on Ebay available when you search world wide.
