Gettin a Kwaka GPX250

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' started by yksnirk, Apr 3, 2009.

  1. G'day 2 all!

My mate's going for his L's soon, and looking to get a Kwaka GPX250.
any recommendations for good bike shops around St Kilda area or where to look for quality 2nd hand bikes.

We both are noobs when it comes to bikes so any advise would be greatly appreciated.
  2. The gpx is a good bike for someone who doesn't want to spend too much on a first bike.

Have you thought about buying one privately? You will save even more money that way.

Also remember they are a pretty tough bike. I think you'll find that you don't need to buy a shiny pretty one from a dealer. Often the one with more scratches and more kms will run just as well.

In answer to your question though, I have no idea. I live in sydeny :(
  3. there's a group of bike shops out in Ringwood (Peter Stevens, A1, Metro Honda, Clipsone Yamaha etc) and this is a good place to start.

I also like Mick Hone in box Hill http://www.mickhone.com.au/
    and Brett Harrington http://www.madbiker.com.au/en/
and would get him or another mechanic to check any second hand bike I was looking at.
