  1. Geoff Taylor Motorcycles began in 1971, when the 1964 Australian and then current Victorian Scrambles Champion, Geoff Taylor decided to spread his wings and purchased Alloy and Air-cooled Motor Company with his wife Pam, from proprietor Stan Jones. Geoff was a factory backed Yamaha rider at the time, so naturally he wanted to sell Yamaha motorcycles. Yamaha agreed, and thus began his long-standing association as a Yamaha Dealer.

Geoff then purchased the local Honda dealership in 1981, so forming Dandenong Honda. The two separate shops ran side by side until 1986, when it was decided that more efficiency was needed and the two businesses were combined.
