GEarsack tailbags

Discussion in 'Riding Gear and Bike Accessories/Parts' started by Spidapig, Jan 18, 2009.

  1. Appologies if this has already been asked. I did a search but couldnt find anything. My question is this l am looking at getting a gearsack tail bag for my GPX 250, what i would like to know is how good are they, are they safe at highway speeds. Is there a better alternative. The other alternative is can you put a rack on a GPX????

    Thanks in advance

  2. They're pretty much the standard for commuting, you won't have any trouble with them at GPX speeds. Try looking around for a secondhand one, still expect to pay an arm & a leg though.
  3. I've got an Oxford one that I picked up for $50 (normally $150!) and it's excellent. The only issue is in attaching it to bikes with high level pipes. Tricky, but still do-able. Very stable.
  4. Thanks all for the responses very helpfull
