fzr25 battery

Discussion in 'General Motorcycling Discussion' started by adnan12, Nov 5, 2005.

  1. Is a fzr25 battery 12v?, because I wanna buy a trickle charger for it just in case the battery goes flat.

  2. the fzr250 is a 12v battery. and yes you can use a trickle charger. make sure your ignition is off before you connect the charger.

If you are charging from flat (get a charger that will charge at 10-20 amp) remove the caps from the battery to prevent hydrogen build up (explosive). Make sure you use a fixed voltage charger

fixed voltage chargers are more common and cheaper and suitable for trickle

fixed current are great for quick charge they are less common, not suitable for trickle applications, big dollars
  3. so the one in the ebay link will work?
  4. it will work as a trickle charger, maintaining your battery, I wouldn't recomend it for charging the battery.
