Full service cost?

  1. I need to get a full service for my 2001 model Kawasaki ZZR 250. It's not running real good. Carbs need a clean and balance and such.

Just wondering if anyone knows how much roughly this will set me back?

I can get the bike to the mechanic with the farings off. Will this make a difference in price?

    I'm located in the ACT.

Anyone else know of a good mechanic in the ACT that won't rip this learner chick off? Haha

  2. Around $400 for a major inc valves etc, will vary from place to place due to business overheads etc.

If you need sprockets & chain, factor in another $220.

Ring around & get some quotes best way, or have a go a syncing & cleaning the carbs your self. Piece of piss on the ZZR.

Google "DIY manometer". The two bottle system is easy to use.

Oh, there is also http://www.ninja250.org/ which will help you a lot.

Just read the rest, yes, taking off the fairings will save you some money on labour, but not really enough to make it worthwhile.
