Fuel leaking from tank

Discussion in 'New Riders and Riding Tips' at netrider.net.au started by matt_thebaker, Apr 16, 2006.

  1. Today I discovered that my bike has started to leak a small amount of fuel from the tank cover when I fill it up with fuel. I only discovered this because I had my tankbag on and it had fuel on it when i took it off, and this is the first time I have used one, so Im not sure if it has done it before or not.Any ideas on what the problem could be and also how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Overfilling?
Blocked breather vent in the fuel cap?
Dirty seal allowing fuel to slosh up past the fuel cap?

    Just throwing ideas around.
  3. anyone else got any ideas?
