Fuel Leak?

Discussion in 'Bling and Appearance' at netrider.net.au started by Donshe, Jun 9, 2007.

  1. Just a quick question guys. Was in the garage and I know I wont be riding my bike for some time now so I turned the fuel tap off

Come back about half an hour later and the garage reeks of petrol

I touch the fuel tap and I have petrol all over my fingers. Wiped it all away and there doesnt seem to be any more.

    Possible reasons for this??

  2. Ummm errrrr the tank is empty? :)

Maybe the seal on the tap is worn in for the on/reserve setting.
If its not leaking now dont worry about it.
The big question is why wont you be riding?????
  3. Fuel tap has a faulty o-ring or something.
