Fuel leak and fuel gauge

  1. Today i walkedout to my bike to see a puddle of fuel about 8 inches across, hadn't thought much of it yesterday as i had run out of fuel the night before and had spilled some from a jerry can that my girlfriend brought out to me on the road.

So tank off, fuel pump/outlet off and resealed it with some gasket sealer.

While it was off decided to get to the bottom of the issue i had been having with my fuel tank sender not sending a reading to the gauge.

Found the factory electricsl connecter wasnt making good contact, but also the little arm that runs along the resistor in the sender not making great contact always. A new pair of crimp terminals and a little bend of the resistor arm and now my fuel gauge works.

And i dont leak fuel no more. Good day I reckon.
