French study on the benefits of motorcycles

  2. ineresting that cycling had far higher fatality rate per km than the motorcycles.
  3. Probably due to motorcycles, (and even scooters which are included in the 2WMV category) being able to cover a lot more kms than the cycles. In the figures used the average motocycle range is 30% more than the bicycles.

    Over here the concerned authorities are using accidents per km travelled to suggest motorcycles are over-represented in their accident stastics, against cars anyway. Using this process here against cycling or even walking, motorcycling would seem far safer....per km travelled.
