To fill up a motorcycle with regular unleaded fuel.
In a few short years, that will seem cheap.
How big is your
$25 to fill mine which gives 14 litres in an 18 litre tank.
You have a 25 litre tank???
Some bikes do, Chris.
28.5 litre, put in 26.
Still, was my first over $40 fill up.........
Just count yourselves lucky you arent paying $2.20 for it in NZ. Not yet anyway
I was lucky enough yesterday to pull into a SHell Servo in Preston in the cage , only to find the price at the pump was waaaay wrong! It said 134.7
Needless to say, I filled up instead of putting in the $20 I was going to.
Did I tell the attendant? Fcuk no!
Yep, in a couple of years people will be trying to store petrol in their rain water tanks. Hopefully they bought the Gal ones and not the plastic.
Wouldn't want to accidentally 'water' the garden though.
or a hot water tank.
or the fish tank
It's costing as much to fill a bike's tank today as it was to fill your car a few years ago.
I remember when you could fill your car for $1 and get enough change to buy a counter meal, have a night out at the pictures and still have enough left over to put a deposit on a new home.
When I was 13 I worked for a pharmacy delivering medicine to the ederly on my push bike. Were you the guy that gave me .25 cents and told me to buy myself a drink?
In 1974, my honda 4 cost 2 bux to fill, and that was with super petrol. I miss that stuff, especially at that price.
I remember when petrol was 45c a litre and LPG was 16c.
Today I filled the K and it took $32 to fill.
Best part of that was when the attendant right royally shit herself when she saw me in the store with a balaclava on.
Well I did take my helmet off just for shits and giggles
I suppose, when you own a BMW, fuel costs are trivial compared to maintenence and parts costs.
Wildly inaccurate, Typhoon.
Impressive, given that the Model T held 38 litres.
Mount Franklin Water 600ml $1.87
Evian Water Spring 1.5l $3.82
Pump Water Pure 750ml $2.53
Coca Cola Drink 1.25l $2.11
Just Juice 100% Orange 1l $1.99
What im trying to point out here, petrol might be getting expensive but dont forget what your paying for water and other flavoured drinks, compare what goes into making water (nothing really) and what goes into making petrol...
Its a sad greedy world we live in...
