Fork maintenance

  1. Im trying to get some ?? off my forks, im not sure what it is, oven cleaner wont remove this caper, and im not real keen on geting out the angle grinder (jk). thinkin bout some wet dry, maybe

    whats your thoughts on removing this mess?


    One is worse than the other, and this is the result of 1 attempt with oven cleaner and a scrubbing sponge.

    Ive tried the ol mothers aluminum polish also

  2. A bit of Autosol should clean them up nicely. :)
  3. Small tube of Autosol, Large tin of elbow grease is the answer.
  4. You may not get it all off, because it is partially pitting of the alloy surface by small stones and road debris.
  5. decide it adds character and have a beer
