For those who are into statistics

Discussion in 'Research, Studies, and Data' started by Kamikaze_Kawasaki, Jan 10, 2005.

  1. Not sure if this is the appropriate forum but here is a link to the road toll stats.

It is a database that allows you to make whatever inquiries interest you. eg. Male motorcyclists killed between 1/1/2005 and now etc.

  2. Thanx for the link Bucks, interesting read

  3. Ah statistics, you can make them say anything you want depending on how they are presented.
    Good link though

  4. How did that quote from Viz go

'Since this road was widened from one lane to ten there has been a fivefold increase in pedestrian deaths. This is a halving of accidents in real terms and something we can all be proud of.' - Baxter Basics MP

  5. "He uses statistics the way a drunk uses a lightpole - for support rather than illumination".

Not sure who said it, but they got it right whoever they were!
