  1. Hi all,

I have booked my bike in with Lloyd penn to fix some issues.

    1) New front tyre fitted $245
    2) New left handlebar $approx 200
    3) check for bent forks

All up this will run me about $430. I have no experience in how much things cost.. Does this seem like a reasonable price?

Is it generally cheaper to source the parts yourself and provide them to the mechanics?

  2. What bike? I had 2 new tyres fitted on my zzr250, $330 all up - should be the same for all 250s. And the front tyres are cheaper than the rears.
  3. Its an r6.. i should update my thingo
  4. I got a new Michellin Pilot Activ's on a ZZR250 and cost me $145 fitted. I reckon you could do better on that front tyre price.
  5. Really depends on the tyre. If you are getting pilot powers, it sounds reasonable.

    Edit: dunno bout handle bars
  6. Yeah I get front powers for 190-200 for my SV, but thats 120/70. Then there is still fitting which is $30ish, or free if you just bring the rims in.
  7. handlebar is on the money....2005 R6 bar is $194.10
  8. $400 for a set of pp's for my thousand fitted to my rims, from actions today.
buy front & rear stands, they pay for

themselves after a couple of tyre changes.
