Just got home safely from my first long ride, feeling fairly tired but pleased as I pushed a couple of boundaries and learned a few things from the experience. Rode from Shepparton to Seymour via Nagambie where I met my brother on his V star. Pie and coffee at Nagambie, then onto Seymour and surrounds. Bit hairy the first wet ride (at the start ) and learned how slippery a road surface can be, particularly white lines. Ran the bike up to 110 for the first time too. Crosswinds made that a little entertaining, learning to lay flatter over the tank to take pressure off the shoulders as well. All in all a good ride, only issue I had was my top box coming open and nearly losing my jacket liner as a result. Now its time to kick back and chill for a bit.
