    I've blown higher than that... fortunately not at an RBT, and I certainly wasn't driving that night :grin:
  8. The LD50 for alcohol is 400-500mg per 100ml, or 0.4 - 0.5% BAC. Of course LD50s only give a relative estimate of a substance's toxicity. For some people 0.3% might be fatal, while others could survive 0.6% BAC.

    In any case, a BAC of 0.244 is going to make you very inebriated.
  9. Yep, I vaguely remember reading about a guy in Darwin that was booked driving with a BAC around 0.6~0.7 :shock: - the cops were amazed he was even alive let alone able to drive at all. The LD100 of alcohol is 800mg/100ml - so in theory a BAC of 0.8 or higher should kill anyone.
