That looks alright, yeah.
The first owner of my son's 954 did something a bit like that. The bolt holes for the mud guard line up pretty good with a number plate, so he just bolted the number plate on there and left it. (or maybe put a bend in the top of the plate to tilt it a bit, I don't know.) What happened to the original guard, I have no idea. Now I need to get it registered, which means it needs a roadworthy, which means we need a guard.
Anybody got a '03 954 'Blade rear guard sitting around, they no longer need?
Just keep your original gear in case you come across a frisky cop who can give you an uncompliant notice for it and also for also a roadworthy should you one day decided to sell it...
