Favourite Cartoons

Discussion in 'Jokes and Humour' at netrider.net.au started by rc36, Jul 29, 2005.

  1. Since most Netriders seem to be able to see the funny side of everything, I was wondering, what is/was your favourite cartoon show?

Mine are all oldies, I'm afraid.

    Rocky and Bullwinkle
    Bugs Bunny Show
    Milton the Monster
    Quackula

Modern cartoons seem a little "dark" and seem to lack the good humour of the old ones. What do you reckon?

  15. PMSL......

Having a 5yo nephew hanging around here a fair bit means Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon & the Disney channel (all known as the babysitting channels) cop a fair viewing and I must agree that the newer cartoons seem to be trying to sell the toys they are based on more than trying to be entertaining.

Mind you I look at the Road Runner & Bugs Bunny style violence and wonder how they got away with it.

Speaking of old cartoons, check this out but watch the volume if your office is a quiet one.

Sound bites from dailywav can be found for most cartoons and movies, except the Simpsons (they got threatened with legal action if they didn't pull the sound bites off the site.

I still enjoy the classics when they appear in Cartoon Network.

  16. Dangermouse (AMAZING!), Dangermouse (FANTASTIC!!), Danger mooouuuusssseeee!!!!!!
    Bananaman
    Superted
    Futurama
Evangelion (and all the other quality anime of the more adult variety)
Simpsons (just to be original, but I always get a chuckle out of them :p )
I'm also a big fan of the Disney movies, from the oldies like Fantasia to more recent ones like Mulan. I prefer the original ones, not the ones like The Lion King #2-473

Can cartoons include the computer animation ones like Ice Age, Monsters Inc, etc??? Cos they are FANTASTIC!!! Especially that little Pixar animation of the birds on the wire

Just call me a big kid :D

    :D :D :D
