  1. I want to put a new exhaust on both my bikes (Yamaha YZ 125 and Aprila RS 125).

On my Yamaha YZ 125 I want a FMF-SST 2 stroke pipe with a SST 2 stroke silencer. I was wondering if an amatuer like myself could intall this pipe or does it need specialised mechanical knowledge (and tools).

On my Aprilia RS 125 I was going to get Tyga 2 stroke stainless steel chamber and a 2 stroke carbon silencer. And I have the same with this one, I don't know if I will have the capability to install it or not.

Does anyone have any good or bad comments about the 2 above exhaust systems?

  2. Anyone can fit an exhaust!
  3. Thats what I thought.
  4. Hardest part may be the odd stuck bolt, otherwise if you can fog a mirror you can do it.

    Regards, Andrew.

  5. and if you can't fog a mirror, somebody better call an ambulance

    nice one andrew

and kate it will depend on how the system all bolts up, some welding might be required, but if you can get a prefabricated system (headers to can), it will be a whole lot easier
  6. and if you get stuck, there is plent of able bodied NR's near you to lend a hand and/or tools ;)
  7. Yeah, I'd be only too happy to help her out with her cans!

    Regards, Andrew.
  8. Well I can give you a few cans of spray paint if you like. Don't know what you would do with them but anyhow.

I have no ability to weld (tools or skills wise) so if there is welding involved I will be calling on NR's to help out!
  9. careful andrew or you will end up ->[IMG]

  10.
    All in good fun!

    Regards, Andrew.
  11. Most males need to be whacked with a stick and put in the dog house naked.....They can play with cans all they like in the dog house!

    (i just updated my collection ;) )
  13. Your collection??
  14. Joel collects things.......
It rubs the lotion on it's skin, or it gets the hose again.

    Regards, Andrew.
  15.
  16. So Joel collects lotion and hoses eh...
  17. OK, so it is going to cost me $660 for the tyga exhaust system. Is this a good exhaust to get for my RS 125? Waste of money? Any better ones for the same price around?

I have tryed to find exhausts for the RS in australia but there isn't many around that I can find. I hear people talking about jolly moto and i can't find anyone that stocks them. And I don't really like the name jolly moto for some reason.
  18. For a 125, I'd vote "waste of money".

Save the $$$ and spend it on me  or better still, yourself ;P

At the end of the day, pipe or cigar, it's still only a 125 ;)
