Exhaust fitting advice

Discussion in 'Modifications and Projects' started by Jez79, Aug 29, 2007.

  1. Hi all, I have a 99 zx6r with a 'ballistic' carbon fibre can on it. The can is starting to wear through (from heat I would think) and so I'm probably going to fit the standard can until I can afford another one (boring I know).

My question is just to check if it is simply bolt off and bolt on? OR do I need a gasket and some kind of sealant when I put the old 'zorst on. Any advice appreciated.

    Regards, J.
  2. Modern bike like that probably won't need sealant. Just pull off the current one and see if it's been sealed. I doubt it though.
